It looks to be highly influenced by the plot of Nabeel Qureshi & Fizza Ali Meerza‘s well-known film Load Wedding. Load Wedding, starring Fahad Mustafa & Mehwish Hayat. This movie was released in 2018. It was about the risks of marriage and the damage it produces in society. The reviewers praised this movie for its strong story. Audiences also gave positive responses to its broadcasting on television. 
Now, Akshay Kumar is preparing for his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan, which appears to be shockingly similar to Load Wedding, with a brother who refuses to marry owing to his bachelor sisters and fighting the scourge of dowry. Even the tiny town environment has a similar sense.
