“Beyond the Wetlands” upcoming film by Arsalan Majid, promises to transport you to Pakistan’s northern as part of a rescue operation attempt to recover a mountaineer trapped in the mountains. This is Pakistan’s first film of the kind of adventure/survival concept. The film’s trailer is out. Though the film’s concept is hauntingly similar to the story of famed climber Ali Sadpara. It has no link to him. In actuality, the film has been in the works since August 2020. And this movie shot takes over the period of 16 days between December 2020 and January 2021. Majid informed a journalist that “We were shocked when Ali Sadpara‘s tragic incident occurred. Since we had heard stories about him from many people throughout the shoot. Because the mountaineering community in Pakistan is small. Everyone on the set of “Beyond the Wetlands” knew him or had climbed with him at one point or another“. Ishaq Hushevi, Jahangir Abdullah, & Ibrahim Michael feature in the film. Another hero, climber Muhammad Karim, is playing role in the film. The film is now under post-production and will release this year.
